- Michael Kimmage is Professor of History at the Catholic University of America in Washington and a Non-resident Senior Associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. From 2014 to 2016, he served on the Secretary’s Policy Planning Staff at the U.S. Department of State, where he handled the Ukraine/Russia portfolio. His book Collisions (Oxford University Press, 2024) provides an account of the war’s global dimensions. He was Visiting Fellow at CAS in different contexts.
- Yvonne Kleinmann is Professor of Eastern European History at the University of Halle and currently Visiting Fellow at the Historische Kolleg and at the Käte Hamburger Kolleg global dis:connect.
- Martin Schulze Wessel is Professor of East and South Eastern European History at LMU. Last year he published Der Fluch des Imperiums. Die Ukraine, Polen und der Irrweg in der russischen Geschichte (Beck, 2023).
